Indonesian Traditional Culture

Halo! I’ve promised to tell all of readers how was my day right? Okay here it is…..
I did a lot today, was fun, was great and it’s been pleasure!

Alarm rang spoiled my ears at 2.20 am

Okay okay I wake up, took a shower and  went to Cangkringan. We were arrived and immediately did make-up and also hair-do, how could…. its too early morning.
At Cangkringan there was event called “KIRAB” (culture event) in the dictionary of the Indonesian means, walking together accompaniment. That was my very first time, joining event like that plus at the village. Aw must be very conventional! Why was I joined that event? Because of my major has business with. So, some of the girls from my major was joining that big event. It's good oppurtunity. We wore like “mbak2 jawa” totally! Haha. But we were very pretty surely!
There are a lot of people, I think more than 70 people joined! Wow! The most uniqueness,  all people who joined that event have to wear traditional dresses, and that traditional dresses miscellaneous. The master ceremony spoke with Javanese fine. Actually I don’t understand =D
KIRAB started! We were walking for 10-15 minutes, the sun shines nearby. After we’ve been walking, we did the ceremonial. Pity, I couldn’t stay as long as the ceremonial. I've to go at 9 am. Where am I going to?

The next event I have to attend is Tourism Fair. For what?

You knew that already…. Wearing traditional clothes doesn't easy as you as wearing t-shirt, shirt, or anything like that. The make-up is favorable and my hair styled with graceful, I think. I’ve to clean up quickly becauseeeeee!
Yap I have to dance at Tourism Fair. Oh waw, I was soooo fff tired. But dance is my soul. What kind of dance I’ll perform it? Balinese Dance! Actually, that was very unexpectedly. We didn’t exercise lot. But, alhamdulillah we did well! We enjoyed it. Btw, there are three dancers at this time. We danced Tari Pendet.

At last but not least

Today was awesome! Met a lot of people, did something that I’ve never been! I wasn’t even taking a breath well HAHA, I’ve been sooo busy like a ball who played with player, rolling to and fro. And cleaned up the make-up was very fast like my hand made by vacuum cleaner . I was wearing two traditional dresses in a row! In a short time.
Still I can’t imagine, how could I did perfectly today? But THANKS TO ALLAH SWT MOST! Thanks for giving me the best chances. Bismillah for another more than today! Amin J

I’m very proud wearing traditional dresses by Indonesia and also doing it well. Proud to be an Indonesian! Lestarikan Budaya Indonesia!

Indonesian Literature Definition

In my opinion
Most of people in Indonesia think about Indonesian Literature is LOWER than English, France, or whatever literature.  What’s the meaning of LOWER? Okay, let me explain it.

First, surely you want to know, why was I choose Indonesian Literature?  Honestly, at that time I had had no idea about Indonesian literature. I knew more about English literature. Till, my tutor told me that “Indonesian literature have bright future, you can be a journalist, an author, a linguist and much more you can get.” Plus, my aunty said that some of her friends became a teacher Indonesian Language in Australia and they were from Indonesian Literature. Wowwwww, seriously? I wasn’t thinking about more and yes I pitched upon Indonesian Literature which is I hope for my bright future.  I’ve passed a written test SNMPTN, Alhamdulillah.

Day one learning about Indonesian Literature…. Shit! This is so hard!!!!! How could I didn’t know much about Indonesian grammar??? I’m Indonesian though. Days passed, a lot of people assumed that Indonesian Literature is easy, trash, not important, and so on. I cried a lot seriously, when I was hearing some of friends said that. But, I’ll prove it! I’ll become someone someday! Watch me out!

I’ve learnt quite much about Indonesian Literature. There are many jobs you can get! There is much function! The most important you can promote to the world about Indonesia. I mean language and literature mostly.

I used to be lazy to read. But now, I don’t anymore! I love writing and reading. I used to be hate Indonesia. But now, I try to more step into motherland. I used to love modern dance. But now, I’m dancing traditional (once, I will write about! :D)  As you know, who says Indonesian literature is totally learn about Indonesian language? Our textbooks are most of English. See? Many benefits we can get. Also, we are not only talk about literature and language, but speaking including our subject. I guess Indonesian literature is quite complete. You know what? I’m at four semester and I’ve never got satisfied score. I’ve got better score in my English course. See?

So, are you still thinking that Indonesian Literature is easy, not important, and bad?  Thinking again, again, and again babe.  I’m saying not only for Indonesian Literature but also for all subjects. Many people in Indonesia are tacky, they are always choose major that were hits, hmmmm mainstream. Every subject has their own special and need each other. So, please open your eyes, especially your mind. Make Indonesia more better do not be poky minded. Don’t be shy that you’re Indonesian.

p.s: I wrote this with English in order to promote Indonesia :)
